Sr. Product Marketing Manager/Director

ActivePlatform is currently seeking a seasoned Product Marketing Manager for a growing Cloud Brokerage Platform. This position can be located at our headquarters in Minsk, Belarus, Moscow, Russia, or in Seattle, WA, and we continue to expand globally. Please note that this is a contract opportunity for international locations outside of Belarus or Russia.
The Sr. Product Marketing Manager/Director will be responsible for creating a marketing messaging that takes a technical product and makes it relatable and understandable to its target audience, researching market opportunity, gathering data and insights from consumers, and positioning the product against competitors. This is a new position, so being able to hit the ground running as a product marketing manager is a must for this role.

Role Requirements - What you'll love to do
Partner to Product Management
  • Helps define, develop and execute the product vision and roadmap in international markets for ActivePlatform
  • Identifies clear and compelling use cases for new initiatives and existing product enhancements, including business justification, revenue potential, and operational impact in local markets
  • Acts as the liaison between the global Sales and Marketing team and Product and Services unit leaders to ensure progress and accountability for successful global rollout
  • Collaborates with the product management team on specification design and acceptance testing
  • Collaborates to drive customer education and support model in regions as appropriate
  • Ensures all required system and user documentation is created accurately for internal and external use in target languages (English and Russian as a standard, followed by French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic on demand)
  • Develops and maintains competitive intelligence
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Services Owners and Sales to help develop revenue growth plans and pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in engineering, development and services to conceptualize, document, build, and evangelize new use cases for ActivePlatform
Core Product Marketing
  • Effectively communicates the value proposition and messaging for the product, case studies, sales tools, and collateral. Creates Product Positioning and Messaging Framework, influences Features and Benefits creation, describes Use Cases
  • Creates training, marketing material, and orchestrates product rollout.
  • Drives FastTrack Release Highlights program to existing Customers (a significant effort with almost weekly cadence and deliverables)
  • Effectively communicates with customers, sales, other marketing, product development, R&D, and senior management as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • SME copyrighting: BOM, FAQ, Demo orchestration, Case Studies, Product feature-based blog/email articles, Product feature-based and Thought Leadership Whitepapers. Customer engagement and references.
  • Product Evangelism: Keynote Speaking, online Webinars, live Field Marketing events in all time zones
  • Collaborates with Marketing Operations and Audience Marketing for Product Launches and Regional and Vertical programs. Assures vertical readiness and sales content delivery for field and partner audiences
  • Appearances at external events in support of marketing objectives
  • Industry analyst engagement and influence
  • Selective field, prospect, and customer engagement
Qualifications – What you'll have
Product Marketing Manager Top Four Must Haves:
  • 10+ years' B2B SaaS/e-commerce experience in a Product Marketing role for software marketing and sales to large enterprises, cloud platforms preferred
  • 10+ years' experience in sales and/or implementation of operational systems for project-based service industries
  • 5 major global product launches for 2 different companies
  • SME in cloud commerce, cloud services for enterprise and SMB, and cloud providers ecosystem
Desired qualifications include:
  • You have complete product marketing experience: Market research, customer trends, working with product management team and engineering to create solutions for problems seen in the market, voice of the customer, pricing, messaging, product roll outs, webinars, pitches/presentations. Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders from sales, marketing to accounting and finance
  • In depth experience working with a IaaS, PaaS, SaaS products, e-commerce platforms, understanding their challenges and successes
  • This is a customer/consumer centric position, covering a range of verticals from distributors with reseller channel, to technology providers, to telecom and mobile operators, datacenters, enterprise and government IT hubs, so you have to be their voice, representing them to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Software: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS experience, Market research tools/software, Microsoft Office, PPT excellence, online/video presentations software, BI tools, video creation, any design program experience a plus
  • Passion for conceiving, designing, building, and shipping innovative products
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business problems, as well as strategic and revenue generating opportunities
  • Firm sense of accountability and ownership for the end-to-end product lifecycle with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development, launch and product adoption
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be the voice of the product to customers, colleagues, and senior executives
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines and gain support and advocacy for the technology
  • Experience driving multi-national product management and marketing programs
  • Product or project management experience with models like PMI, Agile, and Cloud Services Release management
  • Experience in Analytics, SaaS, Cloud Services, or related fields
  • Highly Desirable: Cloud Solution Provider, Cloud Brokerage Platform, Disti, Reseller channel, VAR, Telco/mobile operator, Government IT industry experience
